NowTV App on SamsungTV won't recognise my account

I'm trying to log into my Now TV account on a Samsung TV, but it won't recognise my account. I've reset the password, but that hasn't worked. I can watch on my laptop, but that isn't very satisfactory.

 

The message says account not recognised, but I've typed everything in very carefully several times, so its not user error

A bit of a long shot, have you tried deleting the nowtv app then re installing the app back again on your Samsung smart TV ?

I've just reinstalled it on my NowTV box, but that didn't work!

I did say it was a long shot, unfortunately i don't own a Samsung TV.

 

Hopefully, somebody else on here will come to your rescue or alternatively you could try live chat.

 

Its a shame you don't live close to me i would have given you a free nowtv box just to get you out of the jam for tomorrow morning Lions game.

Quick question are you using a NowTV box or a Samsung smart TV with an inbuilt NowTV App ?

 

If you are using a Now TV box does your username or password have any unique special characters like for example + - & etc or are they just letters and numbers.

 

Apparently the latest software on the nowtv boxes doesn't like special characters and will not recognise certain username and passwords.

 

Just a thought because you mentioned a nowtv box ?

I am also have this problem on a Samsung Digital Tv, I cannot login to my account as it is not recognised. But I can login perfectly fine on my laptop. I do not own a box. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app. If they dont fix this soon I will have to cancel my subscription.

Do you have any special characters in your current username and/or password, such as an % or + or $ etc?

 

It would appear that recent NOW TV 'app' updates have either broken or withdrawn support for some special characters on some playback devices...

Is the software on your Samsung 'smart' television the newest/latest version?

What's the model number of your Samsung 'smart' television?
