Error code CTV-000 on 2016 Samsung TV

The NOW TV app won't start on my 2016 Samsung UE55KS7000 TV and just shows a black screen showing white text saying something is wrong and to try again in a couple of minutes - error code ctv-000.

The app worked a couple of days ago

I have tried rebooting the TV

All software is up to date

Wired internet connection

All other apps are working fine.

Only advice from NOW TV Tech Support was to unplug all the cables and then plug them in again. That hasn't worked.

Any ideas gratefully accepted. Thanks

Thanks for the confirmation @Anonymous User,

Your new topic has been moved out of the 'NOW TV Box (white)' sub-section and merged into this existing topic within the forums dedicated 'Samsung TV' sub-section, which is about the same subject...

Cheers

I keep seeing the same error too.

Some months ago I purchased a Samsung Series 8/49KS8000T 49inch TV. For many months the NowTV app worked without issue. For many weeks now, each time I launch the application I am presented with an error code:

CTV-000
If I reinstall the application then NowTV works as normal...until such time as I turn the TV to standby mode, power on again and the error returns.
All other video subscription apps function normally - Netflix and Amazon.
The TV has been siwtched off and power lead disconnected several times.
The router has been restarted and reset multiple times.
Samsung support have remotely performed a factory reset of the TV.
The TV firmware is up to date at v1201, according to the online updater.
The TV is on a wired connection.

Unless this issue is resolved I will soon cancel my nowTV subscription because I am fed up this issue. I will use only competitors streaming offerings.

What have people done that's worked? Have tried unplugging and restarting the router, restarting the telly and other aps. Still getting the error message. I can't delete and reinstall the app as it's counted as a 'core app' that can't be deleted
