Experiencing multiple crashes tonight while watching Sky Sports News with (generic PS4 error) code CE-34878-0. Throws me back to PS4 dashboard and I have to relaunch the app.
Crashes ranging from after a few seconds of streaming to after about 20 minutes. Incredibly frustrating having paid for a week of this.
I have deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail.
Solved! Go to Solution.

This has been happening for the last 2- 3 months just after I purchased 2 month passes and it only happens with live tv .
the fact that this is still happening after the last 3-4 years i thknk now tv need to start refunding poeple their money as this app is not fit for purpose , trying to watch live tv is more agrivating rather than relaxing. most of the time when watching live football or f1 you miss the important parts.
the app have never been stable since being introduced to the ps4!
now tv technicians you need to fix this, people or PAYING to watch your app that is NOT WORKING properly.

Could you let us know who your internet provider is?
Have you tried a database rebuild as there may be corrupt files on the system?
Thanks
Aaron

It could need a database rebuild as Aaron suggested as it's only happening with Live TV which IIRC is fed through to the cache/saved data on the system. If the database is rebuilt it should, in theory solve the issue. This is only a suggestion though and in no way official troubleshooting. Database rebuild wil be a last resort.
Edit: This is actually official troubleshooting, sorry haha.

Hi, I have tried the suggested steps to correct the error. I continue to get this error message when watching live tv and has been this way since September.
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks,
Ciaran
