Ps3 app freezes

Everytime I catchup on the ps3 I manage to watch 1 programme and then it crashes and can't even reset the app

Thanks for your post and sorry about the delayed reply.

 

Have you been able to watch anything on your PS3? Are you still experiencing this issue?

 

If yes, can you tell me what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

I have do a reboot of the ps3 just to reset the ps3 and too watch another
episode of a programme

Can you please try the steps below:

 

1.    Put PS3 in Stand By.
2.    Place finger on Power Button until 3rd beep (the console should power back down)
3.    Place finger back on Power Button until a double beep is heard and remove finger.
 
Connect DualShock 3 via USB and press PS Button on controller. You should then see these options:

*  Restore File System
*  Rebuild Database

 

Please try both of them. Also please uninstall and reinstall the app.

Can you create a new local account on your Playstation (users> create new), make sure you're signed in with that, open the NOW TV app and try viewing content?

If you follow @Anonymous User's instructions, you would be creating a PSN Sub Account. This would not incur any extra charges.

What I meant was to create a local account on your console itself. No need for emails, subscriptions. Sign in to your local account, open the NOW TV app and try again.

When I open the app on there it asks me to sign in tho nothing about make a

Hi @Anonymous User,

 

Please try the following:

 

  1. Log in to your Master Account directly and select the Account tab on the top and then Sub Accounts on the left.
  2. You will come to the Sub Account registration screen.
  3. Once you have added the Sign in ID (e-mail address) date of birth and password for the Sub Account you will be prompted to sign in with the Sub Account to register your devices. 
  4. When you have signed in select Devices then PlayStation Systems.
  5. Over the next few screens you will have to register the rest of the Sub Account details including the Name and Address of the Sub Account holder and choose the online ID. 
  6. When you have added the required details you will be presented with a screen advising your Sub Account is ready to access the PlayStation Network.
  7. Now all you have to do is create a new User on your PlayStation 3, select Sign Up for PlayStation Network > Use Existing Account.

 

Your Sub Account is now active and signed in the PSN 🙂
