I have a months pass untill 9/8 17. I purchased this in order to watch the Open golf. I have downloade the new 'Desktop player'. but continually get the following pop up.
'User does not have the the necessary roll to perform this action' Error code OVP 00005.
I have checked 'service status' and all is good
I have reported this via email -reference -02264036.
The Open has started and still no access!!

I'm not familiar with that particular OVP 00005 error code.
Can you confirm... Are you using an Microsoft Windows based computer or an Apple Mac based computer? And which operating system version is your computer running?
What does this code mean? I have paid for one day sports pass and it doesn't let me proceed when the app opens, I get this error code:

Have you tried to watch your Sports Membership on the NOW App on a smartphone or tablet, then jump back to your PC.
This seemed to work for a few people who are encountering this error message.
