Now player not working on Mac

I have just subscribed and downloaded the now player but it is not working. It starts to load and then just closes almost immediately. I have uninstalled and re-installed, updated the latest software on my mac and still no luck. Can anyone advise? I have got a day pass for the rugby later so am getting desperate!

Have you signed in and selected something to watch first directly from the website? This should prompt the download process.

I have this problem, also. You choose something to watch, the app opens, the green background appears and the loading circle. After that, it crashes and closes every single time. 

 

I have tried all the fixes that people have suggested, and nothing works. It seems to be just an awfully made app. 

 

My computer is windows, so it is definitely app related if it is happening on multiple OS.
