Black Screen on Windows App

Hi all,

I've done quite a bit of searching on this but all the answers seem to be related to Silverlight settings when trying to watch Now TV on a web browser. As far as I know, that's not possible anymore? You're now routed through the Now TV Web App which informs me that I've reached the maximum number of devices and so can't view...I've got to wait a month (I mean, really?).

As I can't do that I'm trying to watch through the Now TV Windows Store App (on the same device, so why the maximum number of devices thing is a problem I do not know). I can log in fine, can view the available shows, navigate, etc. fine and can start playing a show (Game of Thrones, obvs) but although the audio comes through clear there is no video. Can anyone help out with this? Is it also likely to be a silverlight file?

Frustratingly there aren't any setting on the Now TV Windows Store App that I can play around with.

My device is a Dell XPS 15 9560 running Windows 10.

Thanks in advance,

Essaich

If you are interested there is still an option to watch NowTV via the Silverlight player by using Windows Internet Explorer 11 (see help guide linked below).

Also, i would suggest speaking to live chat and explain you are having difficulty with the nowtv player and wish to have the device removed from your four device limit to enable you to add a new device before the 1st of August.

Here's a link to live chat if you want to contact them.

@schnapps

Ah thanks! Just tried that but I run into the same device quota restriction. I mean, it's pretty ridiculous that it restricts the ways you watch on the same device, not just on different devices.

Just edited my first post, have a read about reaching your 4 device limit.

Great, thanks @schnapps Great stuff from Abhishek on the live chat who enabled me to watch on more devices - no problems with the Web app!
