I have a fire stick plugged into tv just now(voice activated one),will the new stick with WI-FI 6 work any better. Don't want to buy it if no difference in service.(does say router has to have WI-FI 6) but I wouldn't know if it has.

This linked article  produced in July 2021 seems pretty helpful with regards to information about WiFi-6, though having a quick read there are not many Routers that support it at the moment and the ones that do are pretty expensive.

Hi @berrit44

According to this link article, Amazon reckon that the new Fire Stick 4K Max is 40% more powerful than the previous 4K Fire Stick which should help with faster navigation and load ups.

If your problem with the existing Fire Stick is more related to its wifi signal then that would be a tricky one to answer if your Router is not WiFi -6 compatible.

You can get a Ethernet adapter for the Fire Stick to see if it provides a more stable internet connection (subject to that you can get away with Ethernet where your Stick is located in your home).

Hi @berrit44

Here's the link to the Amazon Fire TV Ethernet Adapter that i mentioned in my above post.

Don't know if it's compatible with your particular Fire Stick model, where you need to have a read of what Fire Stick devices it will work on.
