App for Android TV

Why is there no generic Android TV app. There is a Sony Android TV app and an Android FireStick app so why isn't there a normal Android TV app? It can't be that much work to adapt one of the above ones.

Just joined Now on the £1 a month offer, but when I try to wstchv House of the Dragon, I get the £9.99 a month button highlighted. Shouldn't I get this with my membership? Thanks All

Sound but no picture

Have Nowtv app on firestick. Tried to watch House of Dragons but only sound, no picture. Was fine yesterday. Can still watch live TV and some other content. Did the usual unplug and plug back in but no change. App OK on tablet. Any ideas?

now player keeps closing

When i go to watch shows on my laptop, it brings up the now app, buffers and then closes without loading the show.  What is wrong and how do i fix this?  I have tried deleting and redownloading the app but this didnt work.
