Slow Broadband

Hi,

Am totally confused!  Have spent - wasted - an hour going round and round in circles.

My broadband connection is very slow and fluctuates from 15 - 30 mbps  - never gets up to the SuperFibre 50 mbps I was promised.

When I do a check on here it says that there is not a problem and speed is 50 mbps.  BUT if I do a check via BT Wholesale Speed Check or BroadbandSpeed Checker or any other site where I can check, the speed is very slow.

All I want to do is find out how to get my speed up to the promised level.

Any ideas please?

When did you join NOW broadband?
Have you tried to reset the router?

Best to give the broadband team a call.

You're lucky.  Our "Superfast" broadband rarely gets higher than 10 mbps, but NOW claim that there is no problem.  The only way to get faster broadband is to change provider.

@Argie

Are you testing over Wi-Fi? If so try a wired test.

What is your guaranteed minimum, and what is your sync speed?

Or try another router completely as the one from NOW isn’t great.
