Do you need a Now TV box to be able to use the TV passes if you already own a Smart TV? Can you just download an app for it to work? Thanks in advance.

Your smart TV would have to be either an LG or Samsung television with the NowTV App in your smart television Apps Store.
Not all LG or Samsung Smart TV's has the NowTV App mind.
