Bt Youview box counts as a device.

Hi.

I would just like to understand why my by Youview box is classed as a device

I signed up to get now tv through my bt package so it would be easier to access it through the guide. But if 3 people in my household use the now tv app and the box is on it says "too many devices". How can this be as I'm not watching through the app on the box.  Sky Go doesn't do this so why is now tv different .   The bt box should be totally separate from the devices surely.

This is really disappointing.

MHi @Anonymous User

I am not a BT TV customer, but there is some information about how to watch on two with non Boost or three streams (if you have Boost) from this BT TV FAQ help article linked below.

https://www.bt.com/help/tv/learn-about-tv/channels-and-packages/now-tv-on-bt-tv/get-started-with-now-tv

To watch on two devices at once:

If you're watching on a BT TV Box, you'll need to leave NOW channels to start watching on the App. Then you can go back to watching NOW on your BT TV Box too. You can watch live on your BT TV Box, plus live or On Demand via NOW App.

If you're watching on two BT TV Boxes then you can start them in any order.

If you have NOW Boost or the HD add-on, you watch on up to 3 devices at the same time
