broadband entertainment package

I am a current BT customer but want to sign up for the entertainment broadband but it is asking if I want to keep my current landline number. Do I still have to pay line rental to BT or do you do broadband only deals?

With NOW they ONLY offer broadband with landline, which of course you don’t need to have a handset plugged in. Much like my existing BT fibre 250MB where I can use my landline if I had a handset.

If I were you, sign up for the entertainment membership with NOW direct and keep your BT broadband. On cancellation you’ll constantly get retention offers, which is why I’ve been paying £4.99 for about 12 months.

I think you are trying to switch from BT Broadband to Now Broadband?

In which case, Now will entirely take over your existing line

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
