Does anyone know if NOW TV will sell annual passes for Sky Sports football 2020/2021 season or will there just be monthly and weekly options?
Solved! Go to Solution.
It’s only selected people through marketing who get the email so I think we should all just stop the comments and wait till the 9th and see what happens commenting on here ain’t gonna get u a email Apart from everyone moaning let’s just wait and see ain’t that long to wait !
I picked up a couple of NOW TV Smart Sticks with 3 Month Sports Passes for £49.99 last time Currys had a sale which works out at £16.66/month. Should have grabbed another pair.
So I messaged them on live chat about this, and after some back and forth regarding whether this was an official site and official offer, they confirmed this will be coming before the 9th September along with numerous other offers.
On pushing them they also sent me a code for 9 months @ £20 per month, with a reported 1 year validity to use the code!
They also said they could neither confirm nor deny that a year long package may be coming, and if it does then it will be on/before 9th September.
Just a heads up!
Hopefully you meant September on your first line 😁
These guys need to get their stories straight here!
Hahahah whoops 🤣 now corrected.
Yes - September! 😁
Yeah the Live Chat isn’t great. It wasn’t always. They had both options to phone or chat through the web portal last year. Local agents too. Not the case these days.
Really hope a year deal is announced in the next week or so. Normally they announce these offers shortly before the season starts.
Thought I’d give Live Chat a go. The agent said there will be offers, and they will be announced/sent out during the first week of September. I asked to be opted into their marketing in case something was emailed out.
I reckon it will be Thursday or Friday just to create some hype for the first set of games.
They keep saying to me that offers are system generated so not all customers get the same offers.
tried to sports tv vouchers says not elligable

The season starts on Thursday with the Nations League. Luckily I have a week pass to cover it.

Ah, for some reason I thought the premier league starts this weekend. Disregard my guess then. However the agent still said this week... who knows.
Hi all,
Following along with interest.
My Sports pass renews on 3rd September for the 2 months at £20 deal. Do you think I need to cancel that to avail of the 9 months at £20 deal this week, assuming it happens?
The risk is... if it doesn’t happen, it’ll be back up to £33 to watch Nations Cup.
also, slightly off topic: do we get Red button games with Now TV? I always thought no (specifically 4K Streaming Box and one of the HD streaming sticks).
@Anonymous User red button games (they're called bonus streams on NowTV) are available on selected devices. From the help page;
If you've got a Sky Sports Month Pass and one of the devices listed below, you can access Bonus Streams for selected sports events, including additional EFL matches and F1 Race Control.
When a Bonus Stream is available, you'll find the option at the bottom of your NOW TV app homepage.
Keep in mind you can't watch Bonus Streams with a Sky Sports Day, Week or Mobile Month Pass.
Bonus Streams will be coming to the NOW TV Smart Stick and Boxes (except the white NOW TV Box) later this year.
@Saint1976 didn’t know that, good information. End of the year for NOWTV devices? You’d think that would be the first they would be releasing ‘Bonus Feature’ on.
It's a bit mad that they haven't put the bonus stream accessible on their own device but have on Youview, PS4 etc. 😂
Problem is the £20 for 9 months needs to activated by the end of the 8th of September according to the T's and C's so do we hold out for the season pass apparently on the 9th or buy now?
@Anonymous User - I didn't notice in the T&C, but I wonder if there is a cancellation period (for immediate cancellation and full refund I mean). We could then purchase on the 8th, not use the pass and see what comes out on the 9th.

With a tag line of:
"Over 130 of the best games ... Catch the season on Sky Sports for just"
I think this is the season pass!
Perhaps they don't want to get caught out again like with the F1 season pass from a second wave of COVID lockdown so are providing a more flexible mechanism which allows you to cancel, if necessary. Then they can give out another offer on restart.
Where is this £20 for 9 months offer?
9 month offer is here
https://www.nowtv.com/boost-month
but it's not ready yet
The 9 month offer needing to be activated by the 8th Sept with the possibility of a better 12 month offer coming available on the 9th Sept is ###### me off
I asked on there twitter page and this is the reply I got:
Thanks for reaching out!
I'm afraid that NOW TV will not be offering the Sky Sports Season passes this year, due to the uncertainty around the current COVID-19 pandemic.
There are other offers you will be able to avail of over the next few months!
The £20 for 9 months looks to in effect be the season pass. But one that is cancellable at any point. That's surely even better news?
Will try and get this deal tonight as a few others have.
£16 for 12 months if such a thing does come to pass is obviously only good if again, you can cancel it at a point.
But otherwise the 3months extra you get are non football months! (Euros will be on terrestrial)
