Gift cards

I want to have some vouchers for a Christmas gift, so relatives have asked how to do it. However, when I go to the Now Tv site it offers only free trials and if I go into my account, I can add passes, but then that's not a gift. Surely there must be a way that a non-member can purchase gift cards and then give them as presents? If not, then NowTv are really missing a trick!

Hi @Anonymous User

Looks like NowTV have scrapped their Gift Card's if you go by the posts on this linked thread below.

I did ask the NowTV Community Forum Manager for an official response (but nothing yet 😠).

This looks pretty official:-

https://help.nowtv.com/article/apply-voucher-gift-cards

starting ‘NOW TV gift cards are no longer available....’

it looks like your relatives could get some vouchers, and wish you ‘a nappy Xmas’ 😛

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hi @RoyB

The official response that i wanted from @Simon-J the NowTV Community Manager was the reasoning behind it, where the new style NowTV Gift cards didn't last a couple of months before being ditched.

11 items, and every one ‘Out of Stock’.

I wonder if the two issues are related? 😛

Hi @RoyB

Just a thought (thinking out loud) when you linked the CDKeys website, i wonder if one of the reasons was NowTV have scrapped the NowTV Gift Cards because of they had difficulties preventing the circulation of non authorised retailers and ebay sellers issuing voucher codes that didn't officially come direct from NowTV ?

I suppose another reason is the loss of revenue and where a lot of NowTV customers seem to go down the Gift Card voucher route to save on their monthly subscription prices.

I have been using NowTV for about 6 years now and always went down the Gift Card Vouchers and bundled Vouchers that came with the NowTV boxes which was a no brainer for saving money.

It's Starting to get difficult to find good value NowTV deals (even their retention offers are not so attractive anymore or non existent).

I bet some customers are looking at NowTV Black Friday Sales deals, but i don't expect anything earth shattering compared from previous years gone by (hopefully these deals will be prevalent during BF and my thinking on this is absolutely wrong).

You do know that NowTV is a part of Sky and therefore run by bean counters and money grabbers...

£11:99 a month to watch Star Wars films over and over again... oh and the occasional new movie that may interest you...

I believe their service to be way over priced for what you get but hey, that’s always been a sky thing imho... Rupert Murdock once said (I believe) that the British get their tv far too cheaply...

sky have tried to address that statement for too many years...

Sky stands for sky high prices...
