I am on an active chat with nowtv, but they are REFUSING TO ASSIST saying this is for new customers only / those without passes.

Also refusing to remove any existing pass

Tried cancelling my passes again, still no joy. Offers not showing. When cancelling No Offers either.

Don't know if this applies to any of you getting the error BUT this is the full wording of the T&C's for the 12 month offer

12 months Sky Cinema and Entertainment for £99: Offer ends 04/12/2019 at 23:59. Passes auto-renew at standard prices after 12 months unless cancelled (currently: Sky Cinema at £11.99pm and Entertainment at £8.99pm). Available for new customers and existing customers without a Sky Cinema Movies or Entertainment Pass. Existing customer offers can be found in offers area of My Account. Offer not available to existing customers currently billed by a third party such as Vodafone or Apple. Not available in conjunction with any other NOW TV offer.

If you have a current Movies or Entertainment Pass running on your account (ie. you still have access to movies or entertainment content) then unfortunately you can't avail of the offer 😞

Utterly useless offer.

Existing customers getting treated like trash again.

I agree - I would prefer to pay upfront and know I had paid the entire year with no unexpected bills or debt.

This is only an offer to new customers at a hugely discounted rate - I have also worked out its cheaper to buy top up cards now than pay the rolling monthly renewal charges or use Tesco points for a discounted rates - it looks like they are using existing customers to cover the costs of offering the discounts to other customers.

I feel  best way is to cancel everything  before Black Friday or Xmas every year have a gap then return as a new customer or I might try Sky as offering big discounts at the moment and maybe return to Now next year.

like insurance companies - loyalty is NOT rewarded anymore so have to move around and check deals every renewal.

I bought a 12mth pass last year (DEC 2018) and I thought I'd cancel it so I don't get charged again.  That was a big mistake, They stopped sky cinema immediately even though I've paid for 12mths.  Ive tried since 29 October to get it reinstated until the date I'd actually paid to but like most things when it comes to actual contact its impossible.  When I complained it took them 2 weeks to reply, even though I was told someone would respond within 72 hours.  When you work it out 72 hours is almost 10 working days, bit misleading but legally correct!

I didnt go so far as to cancel the whole package, broadband etc, which is what I think you were suggesting 🙂

Hi
No I wasn't suggesting cancelling whole package just the passes but reading
other people's posts that's not working either
So it's going down the New customer route and flip flopping alt years
Then when they twig that
Well I'll cross that large bridge then.

I see live help is no longer working to even ask a question about this. Anyone else getting this problem ? I've tried two different browsers.

Is there a way to open a new account for the £99 offer but using tesco clubcard vouchers instead ?

Let us know if that works and how you do it.  Everytime I'm clicking on a link via a google search for instance, it just keeps reconising me as an existing customer.

Basically use a new email etc

NowTV have changed that - it used to say ‘offers’ in the underlined emboldened bit.

OK, clarifies that the offer is for new customers and lapsed customers, at least.

Nothing about loyal customers, though. No wonder they call it Black Friday.....

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
If you take an offer that comes with a ‘free trial’ of Boost or another Membership, Cancel them straight away. You will still get the full duration of the trial, and if you decide you do want to continue with one or another of the trial products, just revisit the Cancel, and UnCancel it.

You might be in luck - the £99 12 month deal says it is available until 04/12/2019 at 23:59, so if your deal expires on the 03/12 , you might be able to renew on the final day.

unfortunately mine expired on 28th and has auto-renewed, so looks like I'm missing out

I've had the £99 deal the past two years, so was hopefully to get it again, but cannot whilst i have any existing deal/pass.  Previously i was allowed to renew when in the last month of the existing deal/pass.

Have tried via chat to get the offer but not luck. So was pleased to get the deal email, but again it does not work.

This (so far) loyal customer is very frustrated!!

Exactly the same with me.  I have  also bought this deal the last 2 years.  Just cancelled both subscriptions though as I won't be having them roll over now.  Very disappointed how they are treating loyal customers this year.  All I was offered was a sports deal and I don't watch sports.

Ditto I've purchased the same passes for the last two years and had no problems.

Now it seems that LOYAL customers can't have the same savings as New customers.

Unless I am suspecting that the existing passes that I have got would have to be cancelled 3 weeks before they expire to get the benefit of the Black Fri deal.

Rip off to cancel something, that NOW TV put out there for us to buy, then buy again.

I have tried to do the same  and got the same message. I actually had an online chat with them the other day and they said they weren’t doing the 12 month pass for Black Friday this year, so I got a reduced 4 month deal. They clearly are doing the deal but just not for existing customers....
