Sorry, we have been unable to add this item to the watchlist

Hi Forum Members

Ever since the start of "Covid 19/Lockdown" I have been unable to to add any new shows, boxsets, etc. to my watch list, every time I try I get the following error:

!  Sorry, we have been unable to add this item to the watchlist

I get this error which ever of the three browsers I use, i.e. Opera, Fox or Google Chrome, and even if I use my Roku 3.

I can understand if this error was just occurring on my browsers, then I could say it was tied to my PC, but when the same error is happening on my Roku 3 as well, then I'm flummoxed, unless the problem is a Now TV maintenance one.

Anyway, since no one else on this forum, as far as I can tell, has complained about this particular problem then I'm doubly flummoxed.

However, although this problem is not a major one, just an inconvenience, the longer it goes on the more annoying it becomes.

Therefore, in the scheme of things, I don't expect this problem to be solved until the "biggies" are first solved and/or Now TV rolls out a forum software update/fix.

@ukbobboy in the last week, using Watchlist/My TV crashed both my boxes (the older black ones) and even after resetting neither are functioning properly. I now have the much complained about missing home, TV guide and catch up. Exciting from a live channel goes all the way out to a blank home screen instead of the relevant sub menu.

I'm thinking there is a very badly written bit of code in the Watchlist/My TV section and the powers that be may have temporarily disabled it. Although, if they have, it's taking an eternity to get it fixed.

Hi Saint

I guess it's the same problem affecting us all in slightly different ways, it's probably taking a time to get fixed because Now TV can't get commission the programmers at the moment.

We will probably have to sit and wait until this pandemic is over and a semblance of normality returns.

You are not alone....

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Any chance of getting this problem fixed, i.e.

Although not a biggie, it is getting to be very annoying.
