Why Cant I ring this 0121 820 number ,The number has not been recognized !FAULT

I am getting a strange problem with my nowtv phoneline where I get a message sayng the number you have dialed has not been recognized.

Its with every number beginning with 0121820xxxx

This started with a friend of ours upgrading to BT Voice which runs over fiber not copper line, they could ring us and receive calls from others but we could not call them.

I googled 0121 820 and tried the numbers below but get the same number not recognized.

I managed to find this number 0330 041 2480 and spoke to someone about it and they have said they will ring me back tomorrow with an answer.

We have an openreach engineer visit booked for tomorrow but in all honestly i dont see what this will acheive either our line is up or not.

Its only a problem with numbers beginning 0121-820 which seem to be BT Voice Digital lines, surly this is a NOWTV problem with their routing of calls.

I used to work for Openreach so i know it cant be a line fault as we can dial in and out and the BB is working.

Lets see what the OpenReach engineer says tommorow.

Just to say its not resolved the only part that got resolved was getting a direct contact number for Now Tv.

It appears that this is something to do with the VOIP integration either in Now Tv's hardware or some code that hasn't been implemented to allow calls to VOIP lines with the 0121-820 area code from a nowtv line to the Bt VOIP lines.

I have a relative  who has recently had sky fitted and they can ring 820 numbers fine so it must be something NowTv hasn't implemented on there side.

Nowtv is a subsidiary of skyuk

The Openreach engineer has confirmed the problem is nothing to do with the line or the equipment in the exchange.

I can only presume quite a few NowTV phone/BB customers in birmingham have the same fault and they would only realize it if they phoned someone with that area code.

Hopefully this will get passed on to someone higher up and get it fixed.

And I am hoping that someone with some knowledge from NOWTV reads this post.
