Seeing several £1 "Billing Help" charges to credit card !

What are these £1 "billing help" charges?

There was an encoding problem with a program "Nobuyuki Tsujii" pianist. I chatted twice to be finally told it was a Sky Arts problem.

Did they bill me for these chats?

You don't get billed for live chat. I'm not sure what the £1 charge would be, unless it's a promotional offer, but you should find details of charges on your account on your My Account > View my Bills page

http://account.nowtv.com/bills

If you're still not sure and you don't recall authorising them, then have a word with live chat who can check it out for you. You'll find the button for live chat here

My NowTV online account listing shows several trials, but no £1 charges. Strange.

You haven't taken part in any recent product trials for Sky Store have you? A recent one required participants to make several small transactions that would appear on your card.

Like I say though if you don't think these are authorised and look like they have come from NOW TV, do have a quick word with live chat and they can check for you.

Thank you. I have emailed them

Those charges disappeared. Perhaps they were "setup" charges that never go through.

When taking a free offer the £1 charge is to see if the card is valid..

Indeed, it also happens when you change your payment details. A £1 standing charge will take place and always never comes off.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help
