Problems with new landline number

Hi everyone, 

 

I've recently switched to NowTV for broadband and calls. I was unable to keep my old phone number as this was cancelled before I signed up with the new provider and was therefore allocated a new phone number. The problem I have is that this is not a new number and had previously been a number for someone else. Every week I'm getting several calls for the couple who had the number before. I have not given out the number to anyone apart from my doctor and hospital. If possible I would love to have my previous number or a new one. Does anyone know how I can get this sorted as I keep trying the bot chat and I get nowhere with it? Thank you.

Call the Broadband Support number that NowTV will have given you for just such issues.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
