NowTV on Plex (Windows Desktop Server)

Hi there,

I have an LG and Samsung smart TV. Both of them will no longer support NowTV on the in-built app towards the end of the month.

I have a Plex server that runs on a Desktop PC which then in turn streams my personal content to the TV's in the house.  Plex allows me to stream content such as podcasts etc and has a live TV / PVR section too. I was wondering whether there is any way at all of logging into NowTV via Plex so that I can continue to watch NowTV on the devices that have been made redundant only via Plex instead of the on-board NowTV app?

So that’s a 2014 or earlier Netcast LG TV presumably?

If you call up Live Chat, they will likely send you a Stick you can use on that TV.

What model of Samsung TV is being sunset though? I haven't seen any notification of any such this month.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

@Anonymous User It’s not possible to access via PLEX. As @RoyB says, you will need to get a separate device (e.g. Roku or NOW TV stick etc) that is capable of running the Now TV app and plug it into your tv via a spare HDMI socket.
