Now TV Player picture quality on laptops

Hello. I have been a NowTV subscriber for years but have become utterly fed up by the consistent dropping of picture quality on the player both on IOS and Microsoft. I have followed all the advice of your chat team and have seen zero improvement in quality. I subscribe to the highest speed broadband on offer and therefore I cannot see why the picture continuously fails me. Thank you.

This is a customer forum, so saying “you” won’t get very far.
The picture quality with the NOW player will run at 720p max.

Very annoyingly “Boost” isn’t supported on laptops.

https://help.nowtv.com/article/what-is-now-boost

No. Boost isn't available on any of the following devices that you can watch NOW on:

  • PC/Mac
  • iOS or Android mobile devices
  • Roku devices other than Roku Express or Roku Streaming Stick
  • Apple TV 2nd or 3rd generation
  • Chromecast 1st or 2nd generation.

We're always looking to make Boost available on more devices, so check back regularly to see if your favourite device is supported.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Thanks for your help. I tried three times on the chat function and was cut off every time I explained that the supposed “solution” hadn’t actually solved anything. Infuriating. But at least this lets me know where I stand. I appreciate you letting me know.
