Any ideas what Sky might be announcing on November 18th? SkyQ box with 4k perhaps?

I assumed it was the new set top box rumoured several months ago which will let you transfer saved shows to a mobile or tablet thus "setting you free"

What ever it is it won't be free lol
lol nearly made me spill my cuppa!
Given that Sky was beaten by BT at being first to launch 4K content (albeit mainly football). 4K would be my guess too!
I'm going for cloud based recordings which can be transfered from the Sky+ box and 4K capacity.
However I suspect the new product will be to ensure less churn from existing customers than adding new ones.
I have no idea! Am excited to find out though...

I'm more interested in whether we will see a new up to date sky hub rather than the SR102 still using last gen technology. I hope we also get an update on now to maybe a couple extra channels on the entertainment package to compete with the likes of TV Player plus
Every one else is expecting 4K with out fibre broadband being required...
As it will Download/Preload via DISH... Anytime content expansion to 4K from 1080i... as well as live broadcasts...
And much more as the new box is expected to be announced...
I guess any new Sky UltraHD satellite box will have to offer internet streaming. Which hopefully will be 4K compliant too.
Maybe we'll have: "one box that can do it all"
Cheers

WOW! Actually, "Meh"...
The future of TV is non-linear for those who have a decent superfast broadband connection!
Sky allready run non linear services on all Boxes its called ondemand and is available in 1080i not 720p of NowTV...
With the 4K box you get Non linear 4K ondemand content for DISH downloads or VIA IPTV in 4K if you have the band width...
Sky Anytime ondemand content downloads from the Dish BEFORE the release date on linear channels... for instant watching...
Now TV has less content and Less functions and No Downlaod functions as its a lot less in price... theres more content on Dish than NowTV and more see it first releases...
