Kick off

I keep getting kicked off catchup..ive reset the box and its still doing it...any ideas peeps

Is the box updated with the latest software?

 

As a last resort you could set it back to factory settings. This is often the best course of action to squash any bugs on the system

Ive done a full reset and updated and its still doing it...after about 3/4 mins kicks me off and goes bk to nowtv home screen

Ok that sounds like a very odd issue to have, best to report to Now TV. 

Head onto live chat to see what Now TV staff can do for you

Ive been told that the box is faulty and i need to buy a new one 😔

If I were you I would purchase an Amazon Fire Stick. Much more reliable than any Now TV device. 

 

You will also give a much larger selection of apps avaliable. 

 

From what I hear Now TV is very good on Amazon Fire sticks.

Unfortunately i can't as my tv does not have a usb slot only 2 hdmi slots

Replace the faulty box with an Amazon Fire stick.

That way your using the same HDMI slot.

It goes in an HDMI slot anyway, not a USB one

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Been out and bought a new Roku box today. Set it all up. Went into catch
up and its still kicking me off bk to the home screen. .i have no idea what
the problem is now

@Mommabear6 is it just catch up this happens on or does it do it with live channels as well?

 

What happens if you use a different HDMI cable or plug the device into the TV's other HDMI slot.

 

I'm just wondering if you have an HDMI cable or port issue where the TV can't authenticate the HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection). 

 

One other thing to try is to power down the TV by unplugging it from the mains for 1 minute, restart the TV and then start the Roku box.

It is powered by USB but it includes a long usb cable and a AC power adapter so you can just power it from the wall that's what i have done with mine and it works fine don't regret at all picking up my firestick.
