My mum has just received a diagnosis on Alzheimers - and she is struggling more and more with using her TV remote and the interface - she also struggles to articulate words - so the voice option doesn't help either.
Does anyone know of a solution where I can change the TV channel for her - from a remote location?
@KatFox73 after a little digging around I found this link on the Alzheimer's Society forum
It's an old thread so the Amazon link didn't work but I have found the same company offering updated products at different price levels.
The reviews seem mixed so maybe start a thread on the Alzheimer's Society page asking if anyone has used them and get some feedback.
@KatFox73 unfortunately Now and their devices aren't supported by Alexa or Google Home.
I did find another device you might want to look into as well. It seems to have better reviews and has a range of add on devices like curtain closers which might come in handy at some point.
Keep in mind the devices I've linked to in both comments only control IR devices. If you are using the Now stick or Roku stick, it won't work as they use the wi-fi network to control them.
