Booster

Good morning, why is it I pay for a booster for no adverts but I still get adverts?

Boost can take up to 4 hours to become active on your account.

You will however still see promos for NOW products before content starts

Have a read through this link about Boost.

https://help.nowtv.com/article/what-is-now-boost

If you've added Boost via our website, your account could take up to 4 hours to reflect the fact that you've added it.
To get around this, you can trigger your account to update by signing out of the NOW app and signing back in again.

If you sign out and back into the device this should kick start boost and remove the third party adverts.

We have had nowtv for 2 months now and the booster was set up at the same time.

A booster is typically a device to amplify a TV aerial signal.

Or perhaps you are getting confused with a Now router that you might have had when buying broadband from Now?

This is not the same thing as a Now Boost, which is an additional streaming service you can buy, and which stops you getting adverts (but not pre-programme promos! Grrr)

Have a look in My Account/Manage Account/Now Membership, see if Boost is listed there, and report back.

It would also be useful to know how you are watching Now - app on TV, or Stick, or box, or what?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

It’s called Boost not “booster”.

Since you’ve had “boost” for 2 months, are you seeing third party adverts during your content or is just promos for Sky shows at the start?

If it’s the latter then there is nothing that can be done as that’s the direction NOW want to go in.

If it’s the former then I suggest speaking directly with NOW staff via live chat, by clicking “chat online”.
