Black Box

Ive had my black box for about 5 years and can anyone tell me do i need to upgrade it to a smart box? Do these back boxes have an expiry date on them?

I dont want it to stop working on me, as I’m housebound due to health issues. Tv is my lifeline some days when I can’t move. 
any i fo would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The only device that is no longer supported by NOW is the white box. There is no hard fast rule to the lifespan of the devices being supported or not. 

One thing I can safely say is that NOW no longer make or even sell their own devices. So your best option would be a Roku stick or Amazon Fire stick. As long as it’s supported on this link below you’ll be safe.
