My 12 month Broadband and Phone contract ends shortly after which the monthly cost increases by about £12.
I could move to another provider who is offering an introductory deal.
Or, I could ask NowTv if they would be willing to keep me on for another year at their discounted rate. After all, they've already done the installation and provided the router, so this seems like the most efficient way to proceed for all concerned.
As I am thinking of leaving NowTv, the web site directed me to call. I actually tried quite hard to get through. I called three times and waited about 20, 10 and 10 minutes respectively.
Out of utter frustration, I have given up and switched to another provider at an insignificant saving compared to simply continuing with NowTv at my original rate.
So, yet another router will become landfill.
Please, just answer the phone.

Update:
The new broadband provider (TT) would not allow me to keep my number - so I cancelled.
I decided to bite the bullet and call NowTv again. 58 minutes in the queue and I have renewed my contract.
