The NowTV stick doesn't offer the over the air live Freeview channels.
The only NowTV branded product that offered Freeview via a TV aerial was the older NowTV Freeview smart box which has been discontinued.
The EPG on these boxes are pretty naff where they only show the now & next TV programmes.
Also there is no way to record TV shows from the NowTV Freeview box.
If your Father doesn't want the recording feature then i believe you can still use the Sky Satellite box for non Sky subscription channels such has BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5 etc.
Should your Father be looking for the recording feature, then maybe look at a Freesat box or a Youview box with a TV aerial in conjunction with a NowTV stick.
