There’a a little button on the side of the Stick. While it’s plugged in and live, hold this little button in for 30 seconds, to reset it, and not just restart it, as a shorter press would do.
You will know if it’s reset, as you will have to set it up from scratch again. Then see if it now behaves itself after that.
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
