can I buy 24 sports pass and pay the extra to watch the aj fight tonight? would this work?

I don't think you need the sports pass. 

But you do need the box office app from what I understand.

Yep you don't need to purchase a nowtv sports pass, but would need to purchase the fight for £19.95 via Sky Sports Box Office from neulion who are a third party provider.
