Family got the Now TV stick recently. How can I disable the (hidden) wireless access point (WiFi-Direct) the Now TV Stick seems to have created for itself, which apparently can be addressed on the Now TV Box(s) as seen here on the forum for the Black Box.
It's using the same channel as, and intefering with the router signal, thus causing unnecessary issues for other devices on the network. It clearly isn't needed unless (and as stated in that thread) is required for hotels or whatnot which require additional authentication to use the wifi/AP within that facility.
If it's not possible, please firmware update. Even the option to power down the Now TV stick after inactivity is substandard - it's simplified beyond simplification.
