Now stick

I've just been delivered a now tv stick. Plugged into the tv and mains. TV turns on straight to the @Anonymous User tv screen, sync the control and the let's get started screen appears with a list of languages but then nothing happens.

It's been on that screen for nearly an hour. 

I've reset the stick about 15 times now. 

I'm about ready to smash it with a hammer. 

Anyone got a helpful hint before it ends up at landfill? Lol

It's been a couple of years since i setup a NowTV box or stick, but if you are stuck on the "Lets Get Started"  message and pressing the right hand directional key on the remote doesn't do anything then you might have a dodgy remote controller.

 

When pressing the direction keys on the remote, move the remote controller closer to the stick just in case there is some sort of interference happening between the remote and stick.

 

If nothing is happening, can you try temporarily setting up the stick on a different television in your home (if applicable).

 

Not sure what else to suggest if you have tried a full factory reset by holding in the small reset button on the stick when powered on for about 15 seconds.
