Now stick control

I see on the control of the Now stick at the top is what looks like a standby button, I have pressed this and it  seems to turn the stick off. The screen goes blank and to get it back again I pressed the home button which started the stick up again .

I was wondering what the advantage of this button is as normally on the now box it goes into standby after 10 mins of not being used .

Does anybody with the stick use this button for any reason.

Hi @Anonymous User

The button that you are referring too is for switching your TV into standby mode on & off and doesn't relate to the smart stick.

Thank you Schnapps,

I didn’t realise that, I thought it was putting the stick in standby.

@schnapps it does control the stick when you have an older TV that cannot be controlled by the stick.

Hi @4268

I didn't realise that which is good to know Smiley Happy

If you are using an older TV where the smart stick remote can't work with the TV manufactures on / off and volume command codes does it matter if you use the USB power off the TV or the power supplied adaptor plug or it makes no difference ?
