Now TV stick faulty?

My NOW TV stick has been working perfectly fine up until now - and I purchased it 6 months ago. Today I went to watch tv and it is telling me that there is insufficient power and to unplug

it from the USB port in my tv - despite it being plugged directly into the mains from the first day I had it. I have never had any issues before. I have tried factory resetting the device, and leaving it unplugged for a period of time yet nothing works. I have checked for updates too, to no avail. I am now presuming that my device is just a dud now? It seems to me like there’s no way it can be fixed 😞

Do you have a mobile phone or another device with the same micro usb connection? If so, plug that devices power cable in to the stick and see if the error message is cleared.
