Switching now tv smart box from standby

I am new to now tv. Have it set up and working. But when I switch my tv on (using it's own remote power button) it cones up blue screen and it's on the correct hdmi 2 option. I then switch the buttons on the little now remote and it takes forever for the light purple standby light to come on and even longer for it to come on tv? That can't be right?

@Anonymous User Welcome to the forum. Depends what you mean by forever, the box drops into an Eco power-saving mode when it's not being used and it does take about 15-20 seconds to wake up from this. If that sounds roughly the time you are waiting then that's normal I'm afraid - you could try pressing the home button on the NOW TV box remote first before the TV to give it a head start while the TV powers up, but that's about all you can do.

 

If it's taking much longer than 15-20 seconds for a picture to appear on screen then post back with a rough time you are waiting.
