Secret screens

Is there / can there be a list of secret screens in one place, possibly stickied? Maybe referred to as diagnostic screens instead. It's frustrating searching the whole forum and not know if there's another screen which might provide better info.

@Anonymous User As @Andy Pointed out in his post (three above yours) access to the developer screens was removed last year. Fully-fledged Roku devices still can, but not the Now TV badged versions.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

I have seen posted in a few places this info but wondered if there was a way to force the update server to be 'beta' as it seems that after resetting my white box then after entering the wifi code it ends up in a booting loop which seems to be relating to the box trying to update or failing to apply an update. I suspect that the latest update it's trying to install is not compatible or too much for my old white box so would be happy to stick with a working box running older software like 6(?) rather than a brick not running 7.

Any advice to stop me pulling out more (grey) hair would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There's also a screen that gives access to more info about the in-built Freeview tuner:

Home x4 Up Right Down Up Left Right

It seems as though the developer mode screen is no longer accessible (I know that and the channels sequence are the wrong way around).

Does anyone know if it's moved?

Thanks

@Anonymous User Yeah unfortunately NOW TV have removed the ability to use developer mode a while back so you can't access that anymore.

Shame, I was hoping to have a play. I guess I'll have to buy a proper Roku

Hi. I Need help please. Now tv have asked me to check my bit rate and have given me the 5 Home etc to do this however all I seem to do is move through the apps. When reading up how to do this I have read that it’s not available on now tv. So I am confused. Will my now tv (black box) do this and if not why are the now tv asking me to do this. But if I should be able to do it on my black box how do I do it, is there a knack? Thanks for your help

@Anonymous User The trick to entering the sequence is to do it fairly quickly without pausing. Press the keys as fast as you can name them - any pause will stop the sequence. Also, I find that looking at the screen while entering the sequence slows me down and I have to start again. Hope that helps.
