Now TV v Sky

We have recently moved to NOW for broadband and telephone and are ow thinking of leaving Sky also for the TV. How do NOW & Sky Entertainment package compare and how can you record programmes as I understand you can't do this with NOW.

Hi @Anonymous User

No recording functionality on the NOW service (unless you subscribe to BT TV and BT Broadband with a NOW bolt on package) where you can record from the main BT TV Guide on the BT Youview Hard drive boxes.

The Majority of NOW Entertainment and Cinema can be watched on Demand.

The NOW live TV guide is limited to NOW & Next and there is no 7 day EPG (i use the Sky + App on my tablet to see what live NOW content is coming up through the week).

Perhaps this NOW help article with give you the basic information about their service.

You can record NOW, however you need to be a BT customer for billing.

As long as you have a compatible device you can watch it in any manner you want, you aren't tied down to the Sky Q or Sky Glass devices.

For the list of channels on the entertainment members, see link below. Without boost you are stuck with 720p and stereo sound.

You will however get adverts, so you would need to take out boost. Also includes 1080p, 5.1 sound and 3 streams instead of 1.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help
