Hello everybody
This is just a heads up to make people aware that from February 2018 more Freeview retunes are happening.
The day in which you will have to conduct a retune will differ depending on your geographical location. Please see the article at the link below
http://www.a516digital.com/2017/11/freeview-frequency-changes-where-and.html
Please remember that the smart box does not pick up Freeview changes automatically so you have to rescan the channels yourself using the TV channel section of the settings menu on the smart box
I will try to post information about future Freeview retunes is in this topic as well . I can't promise I'll keep track of everything, though

please remember the smart box does not pick up Freeview changes automatically, so you must initiate a channel rescan from the settings menu on the required date for your area or you will find you have channels missing.

It seems nobody got any prior warning about this one. But yesterday there was a retune for parts of Kent and East Sussex . As such, all smart box, users living in the affected areas will need to conduct a channel rescan.
Remember, the NowTV smart box does not pick up Freeview changes automatically

Hi all.
The link below contains retune dates for parts of south-east England and North East Wales. Note that these changes do not occur until March 2019
https://www.a516digital.com/2018/11/q1-2019-freeview-retune-dates-announced.html
please remember the smart box (GEN 1 ONLY) does not pick up Freeview changes automatically, so you must initiate a channel rescan from the settings menu on the required date for your area or you will find you have channels missing.
The second-generation Smart box, otherwise known as the smart box 4K and the NowTV smart stick do not contain a Freeview tuner and cannot receive Freeview channels via an aerial. Users are however able to receive the BBC and ITV channels throvia the Internet through the relevant apps

Hi all
on 22nd of June 2019. All smart box (gen one) users will lose access to all +1 HD channels on freeview . See the link below for further information
https://www.rxtvlog.com/2020/06/explainer-why-are-some-freeview.html
To remove the affected channels from the EPG you will need to conduct a retune as the smart box is not capable of picking up the freeview changes on its own
edited as of 14th of June 2020 1400 thanks to @RoyB for pointing out the mistake. Dictation software sometimes makes very strange mistakes☹️ and as I'm only human. I don't always spot them all.
