Cannot get local area news

Hi I live in Dorset, but get Guildford local news. I should get southwest not southeast regional news. Any help?? I have tried to so call tune it in as directed on my Now Tv, but nothing works. It goes on to the south east/ london news

Which app? With BBC iPlayer you should be able to set your region of choice on your homepage via a browser. And then sign in with the appropriate credentials.

We don’t know if @slswan is referring to the BBC iPlayer app, as you assume, or to the Freeview side of the one Now box with an aerial tuner, as the OP’s choice of posting area might imply.

Ah, OK, I agree I assumed it was an app related issue, rather than tuning the TV receiver in correctly. The latter of course being nothing to do whatsoever with NOW. As we have not heard further from the OP we can only continue to speculate.

and choose ‘Smart box with Freeview’.

At step 8, it looks like you get what you get, but you might recall from your YouView box tuning that when you get a choice of local channels, BBC or itv, you can select the one you want as your primary (1 or 3 respectively), and the other one goes and lives up around 800.

The Now instructions are entirely silent as to what happens to the above Now box in such a situation; but if this is indeed the box the OP is talking about, it is certainly something to do with Now.

Perhaps if the OP indeed has this issue, and sees that somebody understands this, they will return, and we need speculate no further. You never know…
