4:3 issues with the YouTube app

On the NOW TV Smart Box, 4:3 recordings on the YouTube app are squashed.   The tv is set to 'Just Scan'  No issues with 4:3 shows on other apps with the box.

 

 

Networking Spec - ISP: TalkTalk VDSL2 @ 76mbps | Amazon Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen, Chromecast 3rd Gen WiFi, Motorola Moto G9 (Android 11), Dell PC with Windows 10 Home Edition using Now TV Player.

Yup, I've also had some videos squashed down as life as about 4" on a 48" screen which isn't great. When viewing the same video via my Shield the video appears to have been recorded in landscape but they have been played as wide as they should have been.
