Sky ADSL to NOW TV Fibre Issues

Hi

 

My NOW TV connection was on the 16th, my account shows this took place but have had a solid smiley amber face on my hub since then. The phone line is working but i appear to have been given a new number (assumed this was just transitional) today i receieve a call from the guy who's number i have now been given asking me who i am and he was quite rightly confused why i was in his house!!!!.

 

Of course i wasn't in his house, i have just been allotted his phone number (which he had until now successfully retained for a decade) either by NOW TV or BT Openreach.

The owner of the number is a chap on my street who lives around 6 houses down. His Broadband also died on my connection day.

 

Should i assume the issue is due to some form of patching error at the terminal at the end of our street by Openreach?

There's an Engineer coming tomorrow afternoon after NowTV told me the error with my broadband was a "Home Wiring issue"

 

Is there anyway of getting this information to the engineer?
