Remote keeps disconnecting from the box

Hi, I have bought a 2nd box for the bedroom, we have tried setting it up but everytime the remote will only work for so long then stops connecting to the box, no response, no flashing light, nothing!! It's so frustrating....anyone have any idea as to why? I have tried speaking to now tv via live chat but I'm not getting anywhere fast. Thank you in advance

Hi @Anonymous User,

 

Does the remote control from your other box work okay with your new box (all NOW TV branded devices can use the same remote controls)?

 

If it doesn't it could mean that your new box is faulty. Which can happen with any product. In which case you will have to return it to your place of purchase for a replacement or a refund.

Batteries that are almost dead wil often work a remote control for a few presses and then appear to die completely.  But if left for a while they can recover enough for a few more presses.  If you have not done so already, try known good batteries eg the ones from the remote of your first box.
