No option to disable auto-renew, only cancel?

Hi there,

 

I've just bought my Now TV box and have started my 30 day free trial. I don't know if I'll keep the box after 30 days, so would like to prevent this from autorenewing. However I do not wish to cancel my free trial at this stage.

 

Reading these forums, there are a lot of references to going to My Account on the web, clicking Cancel and disabling Auto Renew. However, when I try this I only have the option to cancel - there are no references to subscriptions or autorenew.

 

If I click cancel, will this also cancel my free trial? How do I keep the trial running but prevent the subscription from starting?

@Anonymous User - this is correct the account will need to be cancelled in the last month of his 3 months pass. Any time before will cancel his subscription but more importantly the offer of the pass.

Everyone is wasting  there breath ,I started  this thread over 4 yes ago and it's still running,funny how Now tv still has done nothing or changed a thing even in face of all the complaints about this 1 major  issue, hence why I have not been a member since my 1 month free trail ran out 4 yes ago.I would of still been with them now and they would of had 4 years worth of money out of me and thousands of others if they only would of listened.

I cancel the entertainment 3 months ago and now tv has auto renewed it why???

Why cant customers have a choice to switch on or off auto renew??

The good news is, if you officially cancelled your NOW TV subscriptions (by accessing the 'My Passes' area of your 'My Account') and followed the cancellation procedure in full, NOW TV would have sent you a confirmation email of your cancellation request(s).

 

Provided you still have the cancellation email, claiming back any money NOW TV have taken in error should be a straight forward procedure by contacting a NOW TV representative.

 

 

You can contact a NOW TV representative via the forums 'Live Chat' facility or 'Send us a message' facility by using a Windows or Mac computer, not a mobile device, as their web browsers are not sophisticated enough to display 'pop-up' windows (ie: windows within windows). Also, Mac or IOS device users will require JavaScript support enabled in their Safari internet browsers. Here's what you need to do: -

 

  • Click on the following: How To Contact NOW TV link.
  • To 'Send us a message', click on the light blue 'Send Message' button.
  • To start a 'Live Chat', click on the dark blue 'Chat online' button.
  • A new 'What can we help you with today?' pop-up window should open up.
  • Click on the 'Request Chat' button.

This whole area of cancelling auto renew is over complicated.... also why do we have to use yet another device (other than the Now tv box) to manage the passes? Surely it would make sense to carry out whole operation on now tv box? Rather than have to get another device with a web browser on it. Seems crazy in this day and age. What if we don’t have a computer/ laptop/ etc.?
