NOW TV box has suddenly stopped working.

Now TV Box been working fine till tonight then suddenly stopped working.Tried restting by pushing in the pin to restore it sees my network I enter correct password it goes through cycle then tells me cannot connect?I have a Virgin Media Superhub and all other devices connect to it fine.One of the suggestions I have seen is to check for udates via settings but when you do a reset you cannot get to that screen if it does not connect to the network wireless?

 

Suggestions would be areciated.

@Anonymous User it might be a bug with the latest firmware, however the temporary fix requires you making a change in the router. If you know how to log in to it you need to change the channel it uses from Auto, 12 or 13 to anything else (1, 6 and 11 are the recommended ones).
If you have no idea about changing settings on your router this guide from Virgin should help.

My Now TV box won't turn on. Have tried changing all cables but still no luck. The charger works on another device with same connection. Don't know what else to try?

A silly question, but have you made sure you're using the correct input channel? Do you by any chance have another TV to try?

Yes it's definitely the correct port, and I have checked the port is working. It's just the actual Now TV box that doesn't have any power. The power supply definitely works, the box seems to have stopped turning on. I have pressed the reset button for 15 seconds to try and reset it and still no joy. : (

Thanks for getting back to us. Can you see a white light on the box? Do you have another TV you can try on also? When did you purchase the box?

There is no light on the box, nothing. I have had the box about a year. It just seems to have died! 😢

Thanks for getting in touch, very sorry to hear you're having an issue with the box. Can you both try a reboot of the box through the hole at the back please.

I find myself getting more and more frustrated with Now TV and your help. If you look back to previous posts I have said that I have tried a re-boot and still no joy. The box will not turn on, there is just no power. It is less than 1 year old. Seeing other posts on the forum I am not the only person this has happened to. Will you send me a replacement box or am I just wasting my time?

@Anonymous User if the box is less than a year old then you can get it replaced from the place of purchase under the warranty. If you bought it direct from NOW TV the place to start is here.

Yep, I have the same problem has happened to me with the old Rodu white Now TV boxes, I've tried two tv's, two remotes, two adaptors and three now boxes, the last one was brand new and arrived today. No power, no light, nothing. It's as if these boxes are programed to die! Weird. I'll try with a Roku 3.
