Tell me I didn't Dream this!

Don't know where to start with this one. I have a small Hitachi TV and Iplayer stopped working on it so since Netflix is now available on the NOWTV box decided to put it back on the TV again. Haven't used the box for about six months but before the remote changed volume on the TV, can't remember which buttons. Now when I search this forum and the internet as far as I can make out the normal IR remote shouldn't be able to do that! But it did, I'm totally convinced.

I can remember one day pressing something on the remote and it changing volume and thinking that was handy, I didn't know that. When my TV starts up it says something like TV controls will now be on the HDMI device or words to that effect.

Did I dream this?

@Anonymous User it depends on which Now device you have. The stick has a button on the side you can use to control volume. The older devices don't.
