Subtitles - is it the Techwood TV?

Hello community,

I wonder if someone can help - I have been in touch with Now TV by phone and online chat and they haven't helped.

I can't see subtitles on my Techwood TV. Works fine via app on my phone. Programmes with 'S' and subs switched on? Yes.

Does anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.

Subtitles have to be enabled, programme by programme, on the NowTV device.

 

When a programme starts, press the * button on the NowTV remote, and arrow right to the speech bubble icon.

 

In there, if the programme has subtitles, it will say English, and you can select this. Though not all programmes have subtitles.

 

If you bingewatch the next episode consecutively, the subtitles will continue; but otherwise you have to make the selection for each new programme.

 

This is a bug, and it’s time it was fixed by now, but it hasn’t been.

 

It’s nothing to do with your TV.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
