Now TV have now closed my support case concluding that they have tried all troublshooting steps and that the 2 sticks are faulty and should be returned under warranty.
In case someone else is trouble shooting further issues there are a couple of hidden menus that can be accessed via these commands -
Press these buttons on your remote control:
Menu 1 -
Home x5
Rewind x3
Fast Forward x2
Menu 2 -
Home x5
Fast Forward x1
Play x1
Rewind x1
Play x1
Fast Forward x1

The only reason i asked was that a few TalkTalk and Virgin Broadband users are having difficulty with the latest firmware on the their smart boxes and even though you got a smart stick if you said either of these two ISP's i would have suggested a few things to try.

Hi I have an issue with my NOW stick and I’m with talk talk. The signal is fine for all devices and apps save for NOW TV which is just odd. It will connect but has 1/5 strength and so won’t load anything. I’ve tried TalkTalk but they say it’s a NOW TV issue. Any ideas? Thanks 😊

Welcome to the forum. Straight out of the box they should all work but in case any settings have been changed go to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > External Control and make sure this is set to default.

For both smart sticks not to work with the same error message sounds to me that something might need adjusting or switching off on your PlusNet Router possibly.
Are you using any VPN or the Safe Gaurd safety feature on your router ?
If your router is dual band have you tried both the 2.4 ghz and 5ghz WiFi frequencies and different WiFi channels when trying to use the smart sticks ?
