Oops something went wrong. We are working on it.

Reading here looks like a number of people are getting this issue but there don't seem to be a resolution.

I recently purchased 2 NowTV sticks and both have the same issue. I get an error whenever I select anything from the homescreen/ TV guide - "Oops something went wrong. We are working on it." All the apps under My Apps appear to work fine.

Strange I received 2 faulty sticks. I have tried all suggestions in previous posts, does anyone have any idea if I can resolve this issue.

I logged this with technical support but they have failed to respond to my issue.

Now TV have now closed my support case concluding that they have tried all troublshooting steps and that the 2 sticks are faulty and should be returned under warranty.

In case someone else is trouble shooting further issues there are a couple of hidden menus that can be accessed via these commands -

Press these buttons on your remote control:

Menu 1 -

Home x5
Rewind x3
Fast Forward x2

Menu 2 -

Home x5
Fast Forward x1
Play x1
Rewind x1
Play x1

I tried tethering to my mobile phone (plusnet mobile) as a hot spot and I didn't experience that issue. All appears to be working fine. So that leads me to think it must be something with my router or broadband supplier.

I have multiple wireless access points all connected back to my router all display the same error.

My router is Asus
RT-AC68U Dual Band Wireless AC 1900 Gigabit Router

Anyone have any suggestions please

Hmm, extremly strange @Anonymous User Any other streaming service have this problem no? Do you have the QoS settings on your routers software at all? It may help with prioritizng streaming thus eradicating any issues with the box and the network.

I purchased one of these sticks with a months worth sky sports and worked for a few days and now I get this oops something’s gone wrong message.

i can only access Nowtv website from my mobile phone to complain when the WiFi is off so does anyone think this could be linked?

Hi @Anonymous User

Does any of your other devices in your house work over WiFi from your router?

I would try a reboot on both your router and nowtv stick by switching off the power to them for 30 seconds.

Who is your Internet provider?

Hi @Anonymous User

Are the three green light showing on the front of the router or if you have the older router is the smiley face green ?

If not, see if pressing the reset button on the back of the hub router for 10 secs makes any difference and make sure the rj11 cable is plugged into both the router and BT telephone socket.

Should the above not work, then the nowtv broadband team will need to carry out further checks & test your telephone line, where you will need to phone them.

You will find their telephone number by going to My Account on here, select Orders & Appointments where if you click on the drop down arrow below live date a telephone should appear on screen to call.
