NowTV Won't Load

Hi, I've had issues for the last 24 hours watching NowTV on both my black box and Roku box. The home screen on the black box is just spinning circles and when I go to NowTV through my apps, it opens briefly and crashes on both players. I've done factory resets and software updates but nothing has worked, and while I understand the circumstances there is no support available at all. The fact that it's both players means I'm thinking the issue is NowTV not the boxes- all other apps are working, and NowTV is working on my phone. Please help!

On the other hand don't you think the app on the Xbox is actually better. I'm thinking of getting the latest Roku 4k branded box or stick but the now branded Roku 3 is ok. Apart from the odd extra add the Xbox seems better!!

And the app actually loads so I don't have to go to search 🙂 am I contradicting myself.  🙂

I have tried the secret software update hack but I can't even get this to work! When I do it the menu disappears from the left but still just the circles going round.

 

Apps work fine but blank page with spinning circles on Home, TV guide and Best of Catch-up pages. Can hear the sound of TV channel it got stuck on so clearly still able to stream just can't see anything.

 

Restarted box, factory reset box, restarted router (using Ethernet so not a wifi signal problem), had both off overnight, checked all physical cables. Checked time settings and software updates. 

 

Nowtv works on phone and now tv app works fine too! Been 4 days now

I am having exactly the same issue with my now tv stick. All apps work on the stick but not now tv. Now tv works on my phone, PC and tablet. Tried hard reset and factory reset. In the about section says for my now tv account "account unavailable" has been working fine until 2 days ago. Done a router reboot and checked internet speed which is fine.

I’m having the same/similar issue it says it can’t connect my stick on the tv but I have full broadband so I know it’s not the connection. I’ve reset it so many times over the past few days sometimes I can get it to connect but then it just disconnects again. I tried it very late last night around 1.00am and it worked fine so I’m wondering if it’s not working due to the number of users trying to use it at the time or something?

Same problems for the last couple of days, goes into the app on my tv for a couple of seconds,  but then exits.  Tried resetting, updating the app etc. I know it's not my connection because Netflix and all the other apps work fine.  Concluded,must be something to do with Now TV?

Have you tried now tv at the same time on another device? I have done this on 2 others and been able to access now tv only the stick hasnt worked so cannot be due to demand

Im having the same frustrating problem. Just wont load. Youtube etc through the now tv box is working fine. Now tv on my tablet is also fine. 

 Another irritating problem, i sign into my account on here. I can see all my details etc. Then using the link from there i go to the help centre. Then contact the help team (i realise live help isnt available), it then tells me they dont recognize my account.

This has been going on for 5 days for me now, which is really frustrating. I'm paying for both entertainment and movie passes and am not able to use either box to watch. I've lost count of the software refreshes, factory resets, and router reboots I've done!

 

While I'm glad that I'm not going mad and am not the only one this is happening to, if this issue is happening to a number of people surely there has to be a way to report this to NowTV? I understand that this isn't the most pressing issue in the world at the moment, and I don't mind waiting longer for a response than usual, but it's not great that there seems to be no way to report an issue at all (especially when phone support is still available for broadband).

im no expert in this (dont work for NowTV) but i do not think buying a new stick will solve this

Save your money!!

 

The issue seems to be down to the NowTV app

 

i have the same issue on 2 (of the same model) Roku based Now TV black boxes.

This seems to be the same as with the stick based hardware

 

I have the Now app on Xbox and it does not have the issue - now app works as it should

 

Now works perfectly for streaming on the 2 x Roku based boxes AS LONG AS I START THE PROGRAM FROM SEARCH AND NOT THE NOW TV APP

 

It seems Now TV need to sort out the App or something at their end.

 

Customer service at NowTV is not available, useless and non-existent!!

 

Thanks to this community for finding the partial fix of using the search app instead of the now tv app.

I only got a response from now tv after filing 2 complaints via different methods. Both came back with the standard stuff about checking broad band is working and wife us connected, so they obviously didn't read what I was saying. After back and forth with them they said try signing out of my account and back in on the stick. Not sure how I would do this anyway but by then the issue had resolved itself

I also have this issue going on 5 days can't get any help or response from Now TV very frustrating.

Have tried all steps factory reset etc then will work for 2 mins then back to the problem.

is it the same if you use the search dialogue / app and NOT the NowTV app

 

i.e. do not open the NowTV app.

its not as convenient as you cant browse but if you know what you want to watch, use search to find it - it will say subscription required, click it and you should be ok to watch and keep saying watch next at the of each episode...... Unless theres a new issue!!

@Anonymous User  Works on mine by using TV guide app: again do not load nowtv app first

I have a Roku based box not a stick so can only assume it's the same.

Yep, same problem on now TV stick. App on TV works fine but not on the stick which I prefer as voice control. All apps on the stick work fine until you open My TV on the Now TV app then it crashes. After that even the main homescreen won't load. Not internet related

My nowtv takes ages to load on tv but wont allow me to access any of the saved programs in mytv but is all accessible on the app it's so frustrating
